Biography:
I’ve always been deeply curious about the intricacies of the human experience. Growing up in Montreal a city brimming with cultural diversity, I became acutely aware of the tension between external expectations and the inner forces that shaped my sense of self. From an early age, I felt a draw to the mysteries of the human spirit , how emotion, perception, and memory intertwine to create the realities we live in. This fascination led me to seek creative expression as a means to engage with these complexities and to explore the unseen layers beneath our daily lives.
Through my artistic journey, I've encountered many paths, each providing new perspectives and honing my ability to respond to the emotional and spiritual depth of human existence. The technical skills and discipline I've gained from various creative pursuits have allowed me to refine a language that speaks to the profound forces shaping our lives, both individually and collectively. Today, I focus on work that encourages introspection, dialogue, and a deeper connection to the invisible currents that influence our world.
Artist Statement:
"Cognitive Fusionism"
My work is a response to the world’s chaotic, fractured nature where truths are often obscured beneath layers of illusion, and where contradictions coexist in uneasy tension. Through my art, I attempt to untangle the emotional and psychological landscapes that shape our perception of reality, aiming not to reflect the world as it is, but to reveal what lies beneath the surface.
Rather than simply depict the visible, I am drawn to the spaces between what is seen and what is hidden. These gaps formed by both personal and collective struggles are where the raw, unspoken truths of our lives reside. I seek to delve into these layers, challenging viewers to confront their own vulnerabilities and to question the narratives they have internalized.
Creating is both an act of self-reflection and an invitation for others to engage with their own emotional truths. It is through this process that I aim to offer a space for transformation, where discomfort and revelation coexist, encouraging a deeper understanding of the unseen forces that shape our lives.
