Pendente Lite (Latin: “pending the litigation”)
This work extends an ongoing inquiry into interior figuration, where the body operates as both vessel and site of negotiation. Informed by a lived account of late return to study within the legal system, it situates juridical structure against embodied experience.
A central figure registers the blind, procedural nature of the law. At the apex, a child holds a winding key formed as a lemniscate, introducing a counterpoint of continuity within constraint.
Suspended between process and resolution, Pendente Lite holds in tension endurance, structure, and the possibility of grace.
